With a birthday approaching Armin knew he needed to go and visit his grandfather for the following month to stay at his house and try to work things out to eventually see if his grandfather would move back in with him. It might have been a bit far…
Finally Armin had had enough of waiting outside in the cold. He willed his frozen fingers to attempt and work at the handle on the door and to his surprise it actually unlocked! Not even a second after the door was open the little blonde was stumbling inside and letting out a shaking sigh of some relief as he was out of the piercing wind and in the cold house. Even if it was cold, it was better than being drenched in freezing snow and hit across the face with wind.
Slowly he looked around, noticing not much of any light coming from anywhere in the castle. But Armin needed to find someone, without them he knew his limbs would freeze off and he wouldn’t be able to keep himself warm enough to keep them from doing so. Thus the boy began to limp around, pulling his wet cloak tightly over his body as he snuck around the large house. “I-I hope someone lives here…” he whispered.
After a while of looking around on the bottom floor he managed to find a room where a bright light and warmth was coming from! He limped faster and pushed the door open, though he froze when he saw a large being sitting in front of the fire. But it didn’t stop him from finally being able to move his legs and make his way over to the fire. The blonde plopped down and shuddered at the warmth that surrounded him from the fire.
Though as he looked he spotted books upon books being used for kindling. It hurt his heart though he couldn’t just move them somewhere safe. So instead he removed his cloak and slowly curled up to the side of the fire as he relaxed in the feeling of warmth running over his frozen body. And before he knew it the boy was out cold, never once realizing the growling coming from the creature in front of him.
